A letter to a Canadian

This letter is a big challenge to me because Canada and Canadians themselves represent a lot in my life. Actually, one of the happiest moments in my life happened in Algonquin Park, one of my favorite places in North America. I will never forget my encounter with a huge moose, his palmate antlers making noises and his beautiful eyes watching me carefully.

But also I can talk about dancing salsa with my Canadian friends or speaking in a lecture with a Niagara-on-the Lake neighborhood or in some universities all over Ontario, or about the ways of multiculturalism. Anyway, the list could be as long as going all the way from Mexico to Northwest Territories but I will stop now just to let you start your own list about Mexico. This country could offer you, as a citizen from other country, a perspective of life that is very difficult to find in Canada or other countries.

Just as a piece of advice, to colorful your list, I will recommend you some places in Mexico. First of all visit the University campus, secondly Av. Reforma and the Zocalo area. Xochimilco could be very interesting and the Frida Kahlo and Dolores Olmedo museums, too. Visit the downtown in Coyoacan, San Angel and Tlalpan, either one. Taste mole, pozole, quesadillas and pambazos and whatch and try to understand everything.

I wish you could remember your trip to Mexico as a gift of knowledge, experience and sensitivity. I would love that your Mexican trip memories fill you with joy every day, just like my Canadian memories do.

Sincerely
Aaraón
